About Immigration Guide
Immigration Guide publishes plain-English guides for people moving countries for work, and for non-residents trying to borrow, bank or rent in a country that does not yet have a record of them.
There are thirty-four guides across three sections — Jobs & Visa Sponsorship, Loans & Money, and Housing & Renting. They share one premise: the hard part is rarely the thing you were told it would be. The hard part is the paperwork nobody mentioned, the credit file you do not have yet, or the lender rule that turns out to be that one lender's policy rather than a legal requirement.
What this site covers
Jobs & Visa Sponsorship. Roles that genuinely sponsor work visas — nursing, medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, software, cloud, cybersecurity, data, veterinary, construction and care work — in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. Each guide covers what the role pays, what qualifications transfer, and how sponsorship works in that country.
Loans & Money. Business loans and ITIN lending for people without a Social Security number, foreign national mortgages, investment property lending, brokerage accounts for non-resident aliens, neobanks, relocation loans and grants, and the cheapest ways to send money home.
Housing & Renting. Renting without a US credit history, co-living, furnished rooms, and buying a first home as an immigrant.
What this site does not do
It does not give advice on your case. Nobody here is an immigration lawyer, a US attorney, an adviser registered with the Immigration Advice Authority, a mortgage broker or a financial adviser, and none of this is a substitute for one. Where a question turns on your specific facts — your visa history, your tax residence, your credit file — the honest answer is that you need a regulated professional, and we say so rather than guessing.
It does not sell visas, job offers, loan introductions or relocation packages, and it does not take a commission on anything described here.
How it is funded
Advertising. Ad slots are sold through Google and the advertisers have no say in what is written, which articles exist, or which products get named. Nothing on this site is a paid placement.
Accuracy and dates
Every guide carries the date it was published and the date it was last updated. Salary figures, lender terms, visa rules and rental prices all move, and some of them move fast — a guide written in June describes June. Check the official source before you act on anything here, and treat any figure older than its subject's usual update cycle as a starting point rather than a fact.
If you find something wrong, say so. Corrections are made on the page, with the date changed.
